Nicolai Grieg has close to 15 years of experience in finance, working in ANB Amro Bank and as the Head of Finance at Grieg Star. Since 2020, he has been the Managing Director of Grieg Edge, building the company from the beginning. He is also Chair of the Board of Grieg Investor and holds several Director of the Board positions, including in Grieg Foundation. Jan Øivind Svardal has over 25 years of experience in a wide range of positions and activities within the maritime space and the Grieg Maritime Group, with responsibilities for newbuilding activity, technology innovation and as Chief Operating Officer for nearly 20 years. The last three years have been dedicated to Grieg Edge, focusing on zero-emission technology and business development within our Short-Sea and Offshore Wind segment. Kjerstin Hernes is the Chief Strategy Officer of Grieg Maritime Group and Head of Ocean Ventures in Grieg Edge. Kjerstin has been with Grieg since 2019 after four years as a consultant at PwC Norway. Her expertise in innovation, design thinking, strategy, digitisation, and entrepreneurship makes her an essential part of our team. Kjerstin holds an MSc in Economics and Business Administration, Strategy and Management from NHH Norwegian School of Economics.

Vidar Lundberg has more than 20 years of experience from Maritime Joint Ventures, Private Equity, Consulting, Project Development and Real Estate. He has been responsible for establishing and leading strategic partnerships and developing project companies within Grieg. Vidar is the Head of Business Development in Grieg Maritime Group and heads the Energy and Infrastructure segment in Grieg Edge. He holds several board member positions in various companies. Vidar holds a Master’s degree in Business & Economics from BI Norwegian Business School with an entrepreneurship exchange program from Babson College in Boston.

Martine has broad experience in the energy and maritime industries. Her professional insight within naval architecture and passion for strategy and innovation have resulted in several international engagements and work experiences; From leading multinational and interdisciplinary energy projects, to developing new services and building green tech startups. She is a committed leader, actively engaged with building Grieg Edge, working both strategically and operationally with developing green and sustainable projects, and evaluating investments in technology startups. Martine holds two MSc degrees from NTNU, in Naval Architecture and in Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

With a background as a Naval Architect from NTNU Norwegian University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor’s in Economics from NHH Norwegian School of Economics, Ragnhild Farstad Høvik works towards making shipping more environmentally friendly. She joined Grieg Maritime Group as a Project Engineer for Grieg Star in 2018, working on evaluating efficiency measures for existing vessels sailing across the world today and developing new solutions for future fuels – such as green ammonia. Now, Ragnhild also brings that expertise to the Grieg Edge team.
